Targeted Therapy for Specific Results

 We have many different lasers each of which emits a different range of wavelengths.  Each wavelength range will penetrate to a different depth of the skin and enable us to target specific issues of the skin. For example, our Fotofacial™  treatment penetrates below the surface of the skin to the epidermal layer and targets brown pigment. Laser Genesis™ uses a longer wavelength and penetrates deeper to address texture, pores and underlying redness.  Titan® emits even longer wavelengths to penetrate into the deepest layer of the skin to stimulate the rebuilding of collagen and improve skin laxity.

Because we offer 12 different laser and aesthetic treatments, we are able to combine and customized treatment plans that will address any and all your skin concerns.  For example, our popular 3D Skin Perfection program is a series of different laser and aesthetic treatments over an 8 week period that improves pigment, redness, texture, pores and laxity.  When we meet with you in a personalized consultation, we will customize a treatment plan to fit your skin concerns, your budget and your schedule.

FotoFacial™

FotoFacial™ is a no down-time series of intense pulsed light treatments that dramatically improve:

Treatments are performed on the face, neck, chest,  hands – anywhere you want to improve uneven pigment.  FotoFacial™ is quick, safe, and effective without downtime. You can resume normal activities immediately.

How does the treatment work?

An intense light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels and brown pigmentation. The heat causes damage to the vessel or lesion, and the body begins its natural healing process. The lesion will darken before it flakes off or the body absorbs it. Treatment can be given as frequently as every three weeks.

How many treatments will I need?

For optimal results, a series of 3-5 treatments are recommended.  Follow-up treatments may be desired once a year to maintain results.  Fotofacial is sometimes combines with other laser treatments to target specific concerns and maximize results.

What is a treatment like?

Treatments may vary from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. First, the treated area is cleansed and a cool gel is applied. When the pulse of light is delivered, the sensation is similar to a snap of a rubber band. After treatment, the gel is removed, the skin cleansed, and a sunscreen is applied.  For sensitive skin, a cool compress may be applied following treatment.

What improvement will I see?

Patients have a high degree of satisfaction with their results. Expect to see a gradual decrease in redness, broken capillaries, flushing, irregular pigmentation, pore size, and fine lines. After each treatment, the skin will feel smoother and appear to have a more even tone.

Those with more advanced sun damage, may elect to have a more aggressive treatment that address not only pigment, but also sun damaged skin texture: photorejuvenation is best for advanced sun damage with and pre-cancerous lesions (actinic keratoses).

The Laser Genesis™ procedure utilizes non-invasive laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat fine-line wrinkles, diffuse and excessive redness, help manage enlarged pores, improve uneven skin texture, and soften scars. Laser Genesis™ is a relaxing, beneficial treatment with no downtime and is referred to as a "warm laser facial".  It has been featured in New Beauty magazine.

Laser Genesis™ is often combined with other laser or aesthetic treatments to target specific concerns and maximize results.  Genesis™ also improves skin tightness and has been scientifically proven to produce new collagen.  If your primary concern is skin laxity, Genesis may be performed in combination with the Titan® for a synergistic effect.  If your primary concern is texture, Genesis may be performed in combination with our Medical Grade Chemical Peels.

Results from Laser Genesis™

Pore size and excess oils will begin to improve almost immediately after Laser Genesis™.

Vascular imperfections, such as facial veins, redness and Rosacea will begin to improve in a couple weeks.

New collagen growth typically takes 4-6 weeks from the 1st treatment, so a patient will generally be on their 3rd treatment when they begin to see improvement. With time, the results of the treatments will be a fresh, young layer of the patient's natural collagen.

You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects such as peeling, bruising or skin irritation.  Over the course of four to five treatments, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin's youthful glow and appearance by smoothing out uneven texture caused by aging, sun damage or scars. You will see a more even, healthy complexion as large pores are reduced in size, and minor imperfections are diminished. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of a series of treatments can be quite dramatic.

After the initial series, patients may want to have a single “tune-up” treatment once a year, and have another series in 4-5 years when lifestyle, gravity, time and the elements take their effect.

How Titan® Works:

Laser pulses are applied in a series of gentle pulses over the desired area. Photons of laser energy pass through the epidermis and are absorbed in the layers of skin where collagen is produced. This triggers a repair mechanism, and your face begins to rebuild and replenish your own natural collagen. Titan® triggers new collagen growth while also causing existing collagen to tighten and firm.  So you’re producing more collagen as well as tightening up what you have.

The Titan® Difference:

Titan® treatments are superior to other thermal-tightening devices of the past because the Titan® has a unique wavelength filter to distribute the heat uniformly so the results are even and smooth. Titan® is the only laser on the market that can evenly deliver energy in the deepest layers of the skin and effectively stimulate the collagen.

While somewhat frustrating for patients, the full effects of Titan®  are not seen immediately.  Many patients see some improvement immediately due to the contraction of existing collagen.  But because of the ongoing rebuilding of collagen, it may take up to 6-9 months for patients to see the full benefit.  In some cases, one treatment can produce an effective result, but up to 3 treatments may be necessary to achieve the final result you desire.

While our surgical facelift provides the most dramatic age-diminishing results, the surgical procedure requires downtime for recovery.  Titan® is a great option for those who are not ready to undergo a surgical facelift or who are unable to take time out of their lives for the post-op recovery period.  Because facelift surgery does not affect the tissue structures that cause the skin to expand, wrinkle and sag in the first place, Titan® is also a great adjunctive treatment for patients who have had or are planning to have a surgical facelift.
